       The baiji is a kind of river dolphin. People aLso call it “Chinese river dolphin” or“underwater panda”. It only lives in the middle part of the Yangtze River in China. A baiji does not have many babies，only one every two years. At birth,a baby baiji is about 80 to 90 cm long,and weighs 3 to 5 kilos. An adult baiji is about 1.4 to 2.5 meters long, and weighs 135 to 230 kilos. Baiji’s food is mainly small fish,and it can eat about 10 kilos of fish a day. A healthy baiji can live up to 25 years.
